now that looks like a wonderful place to hunt, congratulations on your first kill of the season. We don't bow hunt over here in the UK which as a keen archer I would love to do.

The wife and I did get a day to ourselves and each took a deer I got a doe and she got a small 7 pt buck both are in the freezer I will try to get out one more day this week this snowstorm we just had drooped many trees and power lines I have my power back but I also have a generator wired into my house and never was without power. - Not much in season, woodchucks, small birds. I go out with my GAMO bone collector pellet gun these days and shoot the small birds and chipmunks of of my grain I keep in front of the cameras. I am still working 6 days a week and check cameras on the 7th I have 6 cameras all over town, I have two really nice bucks showing big velvet starting already posted the pics, I will post any good pics ever week as these racks develope, I had a camera miss fire the flash one warm day and missed some good bear pics, I found the scat when I checked the camera. Hope your back is better stay healthy and safe!

- Hello Mr. Thompson, you must hunting hard these days, we still have so much snow its hard to get out. We had some rain and two days of warm weather but all it did was makes really high water and it foze again. Anyway looks like its going to be 2 to 3 weeks before I can even think about getting out. I am loking forward to geting out and posting all new pics, Stay safe good luck hunting !

The snow pack has dropped to just above knee high, I went to the range today with the Browning X-Bolt 223, You said you wanted to know how it shoots. First three shots with PMC premium 55 grain factory 1/4 inch, I then tried my frst handload with Nosler 50 grain ballistic tips and they were cloverleaf, great shooting gun, very nice trigger, Now I have to set my bait pile for coyote and see what we can get. I have shot this gun now in three differant calibers, #00 Win Mag, 30-06 and now 223 all shoot cloverleaf groups with the right load. I recommned this rifle in any caliber. Stay Safe!
