- Yeah its been tough. I have let numerous small bucks walk under me especially during bow season. Opening day of gun season a guy that hunts the same property I do called me about 8:30pm and said he got a nice 8 pt. but couldnt find it and wondered if I could help.Always willing to help a fellow hunter and hoping to see a nice buck I said sure.Well I dont have any problem tracking it, he must be color blind or just doesnt know what he is doing when it comes to tracking deer. When I got up to it I instantly say u shot my pet!!!! I had let this buck walk at least 4 times during bow season. I had named him tiny, because he had the smallest perfect 8 pt. basket rack I had ever seen.In a couple years he would have been an awesome buck.
