"Have not tried traping. Been calling and baiting. The owner of the property I hunt is thinking about traping. Seems like the only time I see coyotes is when I'm deer hunting. But we have to do something because they have killed every fawn…"

I know hwta you mean Low budget I try and hunt as much as I can around my town as its CHEAPER, I also have a class A drivers license and I work from January till Sept, Either working ovetime ot driving a truck, The wife and I hunt to tegether and its our vacation we try to do a hog hunt in the spring and a week in North Carolina, can shoot 6 deer in a week and many times I have last year I got 4 and its rifle hunting, I love rifles, I prefer my Tika 6.5x55 for most hunting, and wehn the game gets dicy I use a 8mm Mauser model 700 classic with Norma 200 grain soft point handload at 2640 PFS Ham Slammer! the wife shoots Winchester model 70 featherweight limited edition in 6.5x55 for everything. WE only take the week in NC as our vacation its fun lots of game and great time with the wife the family that hunts together stays together, stay in touch stay safe

Hello Mr. Davis,

REally enjoy your photo wall, The pictures of the Hogs I have posted were shot in differant locations. AS Massachusetts does not have a wild hog population I am forced to travel and use High Fence locations to stay within a resonable travel distance. I did first go to Hillside Guide Service in Maine, nice hogs, they were pure black russian but I did not like the place, I then went to Wildhill in Vermont I must admit this was fun, nice log home great food, his hogs are pure russian but they roam and breed in the very large enclosed fence, one of the three charged the wife when shot and I was backing her up up and stopped him before he got to close and she finished the job, the third area I went to was New York this was spot and stalk, yes High fence again but the spot and stock was fun and again this was puree russian boar, these pigs had good feed and were very healthy the were the best eating I have had yet. What we do have in my state is a high persentage of deer per acre Some bucks in this state and my area have been producing big racks I am looking forward to the first day of Bow Oct 16th, do to a bike accident my left shoulder is seperated and I now use a crossbow, which I find just as enjoyable as a compound. I will  be retireing from Law Enforcement June 2012 and I want out of New England and looking for states that offer good hunting and lower taxes so if anyone has any suggestions I am all ears. I wish you the best of luck this season but most of all be safe and post your success and let me know how your doing
